How long have you been in business? |

I am retired military and just returned to Asheville 2 years ago in 2006. I have been doing taxes for myself for more years than I care to admit, but professionally I have been preparing taxes for about 5 years. |

What is your primary product or service? |
| Answer: |
We prepare income taxes. Personal taxes are most of our business. We specialize in small business taxes. Of course I am an expert in the Military taxpayer as well as not for profit 990 forms. |

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager) |
| Answer: |
One of my relatives is a CPA. I used to help him out during the busy tax season. I found taxes interesting and challenging work, and very different from my military career.
I like being involved in a career where I must update my skills every year because of constantly changing tax laws. |

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area? |
| Answer: |
I like to help my clients plan for the future. Especially young married couples. They tend to forget to change withholdings after they marry and often have a big tax bill the first year. I give them forms right in the office to change withholdings so the following year they can expect a small refund. I don't believe in giving the government an interest free loan all year by withholding too much! |

Just one location. Unless my children decide to move to North Carolina I don't plan additional offices. I give personal service and oversee every return prepared by each staff member |

Cash and check. We encourage savings. To be honest we discourage credit cards. We see the results of too much debt far too often. For many people tax time is the only time each year they think about financial planning. |
